We believe they are also the highest quality diamond stone on the market as they use monocrystalline diamonds which fracture less than the cheaper polycrystalline diamonds and are the best value. We've been using the same 325 grit diamond stone to flatten waterstones for 7years with no dishing or wear!

The Belgians recommend DMT® stones for flattening the Belgian hones. I use either the D8C or the Diamond Lapping Plate. They would also work well for other waterstones such as the Norton waterstone although one can also use the cheaper Norton Lapping stone for that purpose (for Norton stones only).
